A huge variety of investigative methods are typically used in food processing industry laboratories. In such environments the laboratory staff must obviously keep track of products, and all samples collected, not to mention the actual test results. All data and information collected during the analysis needs to be controlled and managed in a centralized way. The most reliable method of centralizing this information is through a good LIMS package. By using more automation and less manual procedures, the acquisition of data taken from the samples is greatly simplified. More and more these days, LIMS is playing an increasingly important role in the laboratories of food processing factories and many other laboratories as well.
