Eczema looks different from person to person. The exact terminology for eczema in ayurveda varies. However the eczema is taken as skin diseases, in which there are skin rashes. This may be considered as inflammatory conditions of the skin. Neonates or infants are most sufferers. Children and adults also have this problem.
Eczema is the inflammatory reaction of the skin, in which there are formations of vesicles, minute blister like raised areas. Later they turn into erythema i.e. redness and swelling. This is followed by papules and crusting of the skin. The whole condition ends with thickening (lichenification) and scaling of the skin.

In the older civilizations, as in Egypt, Mesopotamia, and China, historical records appear immediately after the appearance of writing, for conquering kings wished to record their triumphs for all posterity.
