Natural Finds To Beat Hot Flash

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007

Hot flashes occur when the blood vessels near the skin’s surface dilate to cool. This produces the red, flushed look to the face. A woman may also perspire to cool down the body. In addition, some women experience a rapid heart rate or chills. Women on their menopausal years are advised to consider natural ways to prevent hot flashes such as by having enough exercise, changing the way they dress more specifically by wearing layered and cotton clothes, and most importantly by knowing the triggers of hot flash like stress, caffeine, alcohol, spicy foods, tight clothing, heat and cigarette smoke.
